Hello and welcome to the forum!
Sometimes hypertension has no discernable cause so you have touve with it. Hopefully you are making all the right lifestyle choices - healthy weight, healthy diet, exercise, minimal alcohol and absolutely no smoking! Your bio and interests make it unclear what medication you are on. For good BP dual (and sometimes triple) therapy is often used. For instance adding 1.25mg Bisosoporol resulted in an over 75% reduction in my Lisinopril.
One thought is do you have diabetes. Poor control can damage the mechanism controlling blood pressure.
You may or may not be like me: highly allergic to caffeine, as hard as it may seem try totally giving it up for a least a week, two weeks better and monitor your BP.By the way since caffeine and I parted company headaches are an extremely rare occurrence for me.
In any case very good luck.
Hello.....I suffered from resistant hypertension for years and was finally diagnosed with Conn's syndrome,an endocrine disorder....It can affect people of your age. Also have you had episodes of low potassium?
Mine started with hypertension, muscle cramps, heart palpitations, slow digestion, feelings of anxiety and intense fatigue.
Have you also explored pheochromocytoma as a possible cause too?
I too have a health related background.
Good luck. Hope you get some answers.
