Hi all. I'm waiting to be seen at Papworth after my consultant at the freeman's hospital referred me to them. My question is once you'd been admitted how long were you in hospital before and after your operation had been done. I appreciate that we all heal differently, but just a guide I'd be grateful for. Tia Debbs.😀

I was transferred to Papworth after a HA, from west Suffolk, my stents were put in next day. I had almost the whole month in because of complications.

It’s the best heart lung hospital in the country.

Not sure what you are having Debs. I had a bypass. In the day before the op, out after about 5 days. Bypass surgery is pretty routine for these people 😳. I hope all goes well 😊

Hi. I'm having some clots removed from my lower lung and to check it's not increased the pressure on the right side of my heart.

Yes it is a long way, but the Papworth hospital in Cambridge is the only hospital that does the operation. The freeman's in Newcastle are sending me there. It's a long way but it is what it is. It's a long 10/11 hour operation.
