If anyone has experience with a vibration plate exerciser or information on their suitability for people with heart disease I'd be grateful to hear about it.
Plus any links to academic papers on their effectiveness or otherwise, particularly for 55+. So far I've found
I know very little about them bar my podiatrist and a foot surgeon are not in favour particularly in the presence of PAD which is frequently present if a person has CVD (cardio vascular disease). More so if the person is either diabetic or smokes, or has smoked!
Thanks. I don’t have a diagnosis beyond high cholesterol – I’ve using statins for over a decade - and recent (moderately) high blood pressure. I’m quite unfit and am seeking ways to change that but there is a history of heart disease and early death in my family which makes me quite anxious. Understandably, given the limits on resources, my GP has not been able to give me the in-depth guidance and tests which could allay my – quite possibly groundless – fears.
Thanks. You’re perfectly entitled to your opinion but I am seeking information from those with experience of using vibration plates or for academic references about their use which doesn’t seem to be the case for you.
