SInce starting bisoprolol about 6 months ago I've had almost no significant SVT episodes (palpitations). That is until last night and this morning when I've had several lasting 5 minutes or so. It was actually the first time an episode has started during sleep. I've been taking Tesco cold and flu tablets for the last few days; it contains phenylephrine hydrochloride. Could this have triggered the episodes? I'll stop taking them and see what happens.
(The first big SVT episodes I had back in January which lasted several hours, also coincided with me taking cold and flu tablets.)

i discovered lem sip raises blood pressure and assume the tesco item will do the same due to the decongestant so it likely disturbed your bp and possibly heartpattern
I have SVT and mitral valve prolapse too. I was taking a antihistamine for allergy and found it interfered with my heart causing my heart to pound and ectopics pretty bad. I had many attacks at night which woke me up, I never knew what it was until I had the big attack of my heart beating at 197 beats a minute.
