Hi everyone and I am sorry it's a bit long.
I was fitted with a Dual chamber pacemaker for Bradycardia last year. Since then my life has gone downhill. Although I have had a few problems over my life with small bowel resection and colon removal I have been fairly active and still working in construction until lockdown and a bit more.
I had been in hospital for small bowel blockages when they found Bradycardia and after all tests I was fitted with the pacemaker.
This is where it goes downhill. I started getting very tired and lethargic, short of breath on normal exertion, stairs, uphill etc.. Then when I was mowing my lawn the pain in my upper abdomen and shortness of breath really got to me so I stopped and lay down.
I have since had tests, Echocardiogram, Ultrasound and also CT which show negative results, I was told the CT was better than a Stress test??
Now they are saying that it's because of my abdominal problems, which have never ever bothered me throughout my working life. I just want to get back to my normal self!
Has this or something like this ever happened to anyone here?
