Hi does anybody else wake up in the mornings with a dry mouth that feels like the inside of a cement mixer??? Have 1 stent fitted and am on the usual cocktail of drugs for this. Any help or advice would be appreciated
Dry mouth: Hi does anybody else wake up... - British Heart Fou...
Dry mouth
You are probably sleeping with your mouth open. Happens to me.
Not sure if that can be changed - I sleep very deeply when it happens.
Just make sure to hydrate plenty and maybe sip water through the night?
Good luck.
Do you snore? A glass of water at the bedside should help with the dryness.
me too.
I have a glass of water and have a sip or a drink as soon as I awaken. Often two or three times each night, sometimes sleep right through.Place glass where you can find it and do not fill to the brim. Preferably by your bed so you don’t need to get up.
Not sure which medication causes the dryness. Possibly my statin. Could try taking the statin at midday rather than evening.
A very small price to pay for saving my life
Sooty
I always wake up with the same dry taste in my mouth, convinced its the Atorvastatin I take at night that causes it.
Hi I snore and have sleep apnea so have a glass of lemon water next to me.
My dentist advised me it was sleeping with my mouth open. Said get some special mouthwash from chemist to provide more saliva. Tongue was sticking to my teeth and very sore when I tried to tear it away
