No problems. Been taking it for 1 year plus.
hi. I feel exhausted all of the time and I’m on 10mg of bisoprolol. It’s hard to isolate the cause of the fatigue though because I’m on so many other meds and I also have moderate heart failure. I’ve tried taking it at different times and the heart nurse also reduced the bisoprolol slightly but my heart started racing again so I went back up to 10mg. I don’t have nightmares but I have very vivid dreams but they don’t bother me. You will hear good and bad things about bisoprolol and it’s a case of what side effects you can tolerate. There are alternatives so it’s worth speaking to your gp if you are not happy.
Hello
It can make you tired and it does me even though as time has gone on it has got a little better
It has not given me nightmares though
I am not sure how long you have been taking it but if it is not long I would see if your body adapts to it with some more time
If you have been on it a while and things have not or do not improve have a word with your Doctor as I think there are similar one's that do the same job that they could try you on x
ive had no major side effects except when I first started I got head rushes. However like others have said I am on a cocktail of different ones.
also I have not started back at work following the operation so I might feel more tired then
I feel more tired than I did before but I'm on a cocktail of drugs so it could be any one of them. I do get very vivid weird dreams though, some quite disturbing.

A friend of mine became suicidal very soon after starting on Bisoprolol. He stopped immediately.
I’m on the very lowest dose, but do get a bit tired. Also have quite vivid dreams, though perhaps I’m waking in the night more and remembering them.
Hi Pat Like you I find beta blockers difficult to take. They make my blood pressure drop resulting in me feeling faint and depressed. Currently I only take an anti-coagulant every day and very unhappily just put with the af. Currently it visits me about 3 to four times a week for 4 - 5 hours a time. I try to carry on as normal but am finding it very difficult. Best of luck with trying any alternative treatment, if there is any!
I've been taking Bisoprolol for about 15 months, 2.5 mg daily. It's difficult to say about tiredness as I've had chronic fatigue for about 3 years, but I do get very vivid dreams which I find quite disturbing, although not as bad as the ones on oramorph.
if you are taking Bisoprolol for BP, then there are alternatives such as Losartan. Beta blockers such as Bisoprolol do not suit everybody. Losartan is not a beta-blocker
Hello
Just seen this and yes I do get tired on this medication especially when I was on 10mg per day. I recently reduced to 5mg and take it at night which actually is better. Regarding the nightmares absolutely but one person described them as Vivid dreams which I think is more accurate but they are uncomfortable and do lead to disruptive sleep
Not really No. I've taken them for so many years, (different strengths), I don't even think about it anymore, plus I think about the benefit of taking them!
