What’s the question? Until recently I was on 12.5 mg bisoprolol which made me tired so I took them in the evening. Can’t really tell from your post if you have a problem, and/or what it is, or if it’s just a statement.

My reply was to a request asking if anyone was on Bisoprolol and if they were having problems with it. My consultant said to take 5mg twice per day for A/F and Heart failure. I tried reducing it to 2.5mg twice per day but it did not work my heart rate went well over 100bpm.

Hi I was on the same as you but they found out my BP very low they have now reduced to 5mg once a day. They also reduced my ramapril down to 7.5 resulting in a AFib attack awaiting their verdict.

My BP is 110/75 so ok. My main problem is tiredness 😡

Do you have a Blood pressure monitor? Check your BP when you feel so tired. Bisopralol dropped my BP too low. I was so tired I couldn't get out of the chair. OK in evening as it wore off. My GP changed it. Give GP a ring.

My BP is 110/75 so ok. My main problem is tiredness. Cardiology won’t change my medication until I have had pacemaker checked after Christmas 😡

A shame but it makes sense. sounds like you could do with a lower dose

Have tried reducing dose to 2.5mg twice per day. But did not work before I had pacemaker fitted. But worth trying to reduce it now it’s fitted as heart rate much more stable 😊

Don't do it without GP Permission. He may agree to just lowering it for a week or so to see if it makes a difference.

How long have you been on it? If it’s less than three weeks then you might get more used to it and feel less tired. I only take 1.25g once a day, which I take at night to avoid that tired feeling in the morning. But you don’t have that option. The bottom line is, if you need the medication then you just have to accept the side effects as the lesser evil.

Hi Lovesswimming. No, you don't have to accept the side effects. There are similar drugs that do the same thing that have different side effects - I'm on Carvedilol rather than Biso. Although I agree you should give your body a couple of months to get used to a new drug.

Cardiology at Stoke rang me today to see how I was after having pacemaker fitted three weeks ago. Told them still get very tired so they will get local heart failure nurse to ring me. I think the pacemaker is working well as heart rhythm is very good and heart rate very consistent at around 70 Bpm😊😊

I had a dripping nose most of the time I was on Biso. It also used to make me feel tired. Had it stopped a long tome ago though!
