I had cabg x3, aged 56 on 16th September this year followed by internal bleeding, AF and collapsed lung. (I never do anything easy!) Was meant to be a quad but I had no 4th vein to use. Was sent home after 10 days in hospital. 2 days later was rushed in A&E by ambulance with a Saddle Pulmonary Embolism. I didn't realise at the time what danger I was in but thankfully was discharged as stable 8 days later. (I think I posted about this before) To anyone waiting for surgery this complication is very rare so please dont worry just try and move asap.
My question is this, now I've started to walk more I've noticed I'm still getting slight angina pains in the middle of my back and jaw. Has anyone else suffered this? Could it be the blood clots causing problems which will eventually dissolve? Can you imagine if ive gone through all this and ive still got problems, apparently theres a chance the clots will have damaged my heart muscle which was very healthy before the surgery. I will contact the cardiology nurse but just wondered anyone else's experiences. My follow up with the surgeon isnt until 16th November. Many thanks and God bless you all.
