Angina link to neurological disorders

I struggle with angina, I have microvascular disease diagnosed, but what I find hard is when I have more angina my FND is so much worse. FND is functional neurological disorder. I don't have control over my body, they call it a software problem. I can't walk straight, but at least I'm still able to get around, losing my fine motor skills, speech lag and full body jerks. I have great cholesterol levels but I clot. Stress big factor, my husband is very sick. Has anyone else had neurological problems? They are linking covid which clots blood to neurological problems. I do try to keep positive and find something to laugh about, just gets hard sometimes.

Hi Moniren! I know things are tough but try to stay positive. I suffer massively with speech lag after my cardiac arrest - getting words out can be incredibly difficult and I sometime stammer which I never did before which I find really embarrassing. Things seem to be much worse when I’m tired, though people around me are very understanding.

I’d speak to your gp and explain how you are feeling and discuss your concerns. I’m sure they’ll be able to suggest a remedy even if it just counselling.

Good luck and keep us informed x

Thank you, keeping positive the only way. Started 2011 with heart attack, problems ever since. FND 2017, just frustrating as we are regional so don't have access to as many specialists here. But my husband and I help each other. Thank you for your kind words. Take care.

Hi Moniren, I understand your frustration. I was misdiagnosed with FND turned out I had hypertension! It caused me to have all sorts of symptoms they assumed were neurological. I found a lack of sleep made my symptoms worse.

Try to stay positive, I know it's hard especially as you're worried about your husband.

Take care x

I've always had low blood pressure, low cholesterol levels. Although lately my blood pressure is higher in the morning then normal after, at gp always great. But I'm on so much meds who knows what is causing it. Maybe I should investigate my FND more. Thank you for your kind words.

Hope you find the answers you seek soon! A slightly higher blood pressure might be the cause? Mine was always super low, a small increase caused my symptoms which they assumed were neurological.
