5 year anniversary 🎉

I would like to let anyone in the early days after Myocarditis & Pericarditis know it does get better.

5th anniversary today and I went for an early morning swim today 👌🏼

only my 2nd but I managed 18 lengths. This year I walked the full 5k of the Race for Life 🎉 massive achievement.

I was desperately ill and had 2 heart attacks. I now have what me & my consultant call 'a crater' on my heart. So life can never go back to what it was but I have a new normal I am happy with. I am enjoying life again and am able to have fun with my grandchildren which is precious.

I celebrate my 60th next month and am very happy to have reached this milestone. Onwards & Upwards ❤️👌🏼 Best wishes to you all. X

So good to hear how good your ‘new normal’ life can be after such a heart event like yours. Really encouraging for others here, who might be struggling at this moment.

Thank you so much for the post - I've been having episodes of wondering if I'll ever get back to normal after myocarditis so this is really uplifting, thank you!

Well done on your achievements, and many happy returns when it comes!

HI HHH2017

I have had myo/pericarditis in March due to covid. I have had lots of investigations done and now on the appropriate medication. My Mri shows no active inflamation at the moment but I am constantly tired and easily get breathless. I can't walk up inclines but better on flat ground. Most of my cardiology appts have been telephone calls which is not great as time restricted. I just need to know how serious this condition is and future prognosis.i have long covid and not sure if the way I am feeling is due to this
