Hi. Was diagnosed with LVSD, earlier in the year. For the past two months, have had permanent acheing in both upper arms/shoulder area. Particularly when raising arms. It will not go away. Has anyone else noticed this symptom.? I am presuming that it may be linked to the heart not pumping as it should. Thanks everyone.

Constant ache in both upper arms/shoulder
Hello
It could very well be related to the heart and as it is a new symptom I would really advise you to speak with your Doctor I would not ignore it
I hope you will let us know how you get on x
Thank you for your reply. I finally got an app with Cardiologist yesterday, via video link, after many months of waiting. Unfortunately, I was left feeling very underwhelmed. My condition was never explained to me. No discussion on my symptoms, at all. He has arranged an angiogram. However, the Consultant, didn't seem very interested at all. I don't know if he had had a bad day, but it was not at all what I expected. Feeling very disappointed, as I had to wait ages for the app. 😏
Hello
I am so sorry to hear that not very helpful at all for you I can imagine how it has left you feeling
Trying to find a positive from it though I suppose you could look at it as if he thought it was serious asp he would have had you straight in
I hope you do not have to wait long for an angiogram so you can get some answers
I would write down everything you want to know and the next appointment start it of by saying I have some questions I would like answering
Let us know how you get on x
that's a great advice. At appointments there's always an overwhelming feeling and little time. Writing down things to ask it's a great way.
Hello
It is something I always have to do or I forget most things
While I am waiting for any appointment things that pop into my head I start writing down , it helps me so much to try and make sure I have asked everything I want to know
Hope you are keeping well x
Yeah, I had three pages of A4 questions ready for the Cardiologist...🤣 Sadly, I didn't get to page 2 or 3. I will keep the questions for later. Not very impressed with virtual appointments, at all. You are right, they don't seem too worried, so maybe I shouldn't be. Thanks...🙂
Hello
I am so sorry I know how that feels but now you know and I am not very assertive but when it comes to my health I say I have not finished yet
They let me carry on then when I do but I think well it is my appointment so what is the point if you are going to not answer what I need to know
But on a positive you got page one said so page 2 and 3 remember if he starts trying to go tell him you have not finished
Yes if they were worried I would be but as they seem not to be it sounds like they are confident in what they are doing remember they to have someone to answer to so they have to be able to justify their decisions
Have a nice weekend and again let us know how you get on x
I have had the same problem for over a year now. My GP told me to go to A&E, which I did at the end of August 2021, nothing found then, so was started on Bisoprolol for palpitations. Despite numerous phone calls with my GP they haven’t offered anything other than finally referring (they weren’t that keen)me to a Cardiologist a few months ago - still waiting for that appointment. So, I now play a daily game of russian roulette to see if the pain gets to the point where I am blue lighted in to A&E (assuming you can get an ambulance).
hi I am presuming you are on some kind of statin ? They are very often the culprit ?
Hi, I hope you can get some help
Do you have pain in your hip area as well My wife had bad pains in hips and shoulders and found it was due to PMR POLY MYAGLIA RHEUMATICA maybe ask the question 🤔
Hiya. Thanks for your reply..It is just shoulders and upoer arms, at the moment. However, I may look into that PMR, and maybe mention it to my GP. Cardiologist didn't seem interested in that symptom. 😏. Hope your wife gets some relief soon. Thanks. 🙂
I was diagnosed with severe heart failure, e/f 15-25. Have severe pain in arms, shoulders and chest, legs and hips all the time since diagnosis.
They have not found out what it is after many many blood tests and being blue lighted in many times too.
Still waiting to find out and we are several months down the line.
I take pain killers 4 times a day, can hardly walk and need a walking aid too.
I have heard of the PMR diagnosis before but they have not said mine is that.
Still waiting to find out.
Oh heck! It's all good fun isn't it? I hope you get some relief, some time soon. Thanks for your reply...🙂
Hi,
I had a heart attack 4 months ago and thankfully feel fitter now than I have in years .
I bizarrely feel my tiredness in my arms and shoulders before the rest of my body . It’s not pain just really uncomfortable.
It’s does not seem to be my heart just my weak spot.
Hope this gives you some reassurance
