I was taking Ticagrelor which is the other one they prescribe if not clopidogrel
I used to get red marks on my arms I showed it my Doctor when they came up and they said it was blood spots or something like that due to the Ticagrelor
I no longer take the medication and have only had ne come up since but they do go away in time
Do yours fade and go away after a certain time ?
I would show them your Doctor and let them see what they think yours are and what is causing it
Thanks for your replyThe reason iwas on clopidogrel , ihad a T.I.A. stroke , in around 2014, before that iwas on 75 mg ASPRIN low dose, due to my HEART BYPASS in 2009, the stoke team say that clopidogel is more eventfull than asprin to reduce another stroke, not so easy to stop tabs ,
Yes I know they class them as well as Ticagrelor as what they call the gold standard of blood thinners which of course helps to prevent strokes and Heart attacks
I see your Doctor has already written to the stroke team about them and sounds like you might be waiting a while for a reply but hope it comes sooner in the meantime if they get any bigger just keep showing your Doctor
I had clopidogrel for 6 months after my heart attack and was covered in red spots and bruises. I bruised at the slightest touch. Show the red spots to your GP again if they don't go away and ask him to explain more fully. They will probably be little blood vessels bursting under the skin.
thanks for your advice. i have been informed by the GP, as you said, its little vesils underneath the skin that would cause this problem. the problen is they are not tiny spots anymore, they are large blotches, he did say he would write to th TIA stoke team , its took nearly over a year , until you get any action, will let you know , futher down the line , of any result.
