wow been so ill

hi everyone I have been so poorly for the last week. I've had gastroenteritis. Have hardly eaten anything for three days as as soon as I’ve eaten I feel so nauseous. On the plus side I have lost 4 lbs. I’m still not 100% but better than I was. I very nearly ended up in hospital as I couldn’t keep anything down and without going into too much detail spent a lot of time on the loo.

Hello buddy2blue, I am so sorry you have been so poorly. I am very glad to hear you are feeling a little better. Have you managed to have plenty of fluid and managed to keep fluid down? Take good care, and I do hope you continue to feel better. Judi

That is good to hear. Take good care xxx

Hello :-)

I am sorry you seem to have one thing after another and what you already have to deal with it seems so unfair

My Son has had gastroenteritis twice the first time he did not eat for a week and stayed in bed other than when he was on the loo and he was young and healthy but looked very poorly when he had it so I can only imagine how it must have affected you

I am glad you are starting to feel a little better and hope it continues now and everyday you get stronger because I bet Penny would like to come and visit when she can :-) x

Sorry to hear about you being so ill. Nausea and vomiting are horrible to deal with I was prescribed Ondansetron 4mg to deal with this issue and they are like magic pills. Maybe ask if they are suitable for you? Good luck and get well soon.

Earlier in the year I had a similar experience. Unable to get advice from the GP's practice other than "it will pass" and "drink plenty", I tried 111 several times then after a month of discomfort I had to phone 999. They were brilliant and very prompt. Immediately seen by consultants in local hospital. They sorted me out saying I was on the brink of kidney failure. I haven't been told what caused my problem; no infection and I am still undergoing various tests. All I can do for you is say "it will pass"!😘

Hope you are on the mend and soon better x

Dear you

So what have you been up to now? Bad home cooking? Expensive restaurants eating quails eggs and caviar?

Tut what ever did it I am so sorry to hear that { of all people } it happened to you.

With out sounding like a pun, it has to run its course and once the body is rid of what did this you can begin to get better.

Big plus side losing the pounds { not sure if you need to lose them or not } could do with losing a few myself, but Im going too try the less drastic method of running.

You have to check with your medical team/ Dr about electrolytes replacement therapy as this has always helped me if I ever have that sort of trouble.

Above all take care, no truffles or escargot for a while ! And get well really soon, you special person

Typed and sent with love

Kevin

How absolutely horrible. I have been told that dry burnt toast is good because of the charcoal. Ginger is good for sickness so nibbling on a ginger biscuit is good. Lots of fluid plus sachets of electrolytes in small and frequent sips. An acupressure point for feeling sick is two or three fingers in from inner wrist. If you press and it hurts that’s it. You poor thing. So sorry you have had/got this. Xxx

Oh dear, really sorry to hear you have been so unwell. Gastroenteritis is horrible and it takes all the energy out of you. So pleased you are on the mend. 😀

Hope you are feeling a bit better now. Wonder where you got it from....... I have only ever had tummy bugs that lasted 24-48 hours at the most. At least a bit of weight has fallen off, some compensation. My next door neighbour recently had noro virus, picked up in the hospital. Not pleasant! Have a nice weekend. x

Hi buddy2blue sorry to hear you haven’t been great you will be feeling absolutely drained. I have ulcerative colitis so can sympathise greatly with the sitting on the loo part. When I have a flare up I can’t eat much at all as it just goes straight through me so I forget about the food and concentrate on the liquids, ice lollies ( not the chocolate kind) jellies and coke with a touch of sugar added are my life savers. I wish you well and hope you soon get better, when you do your body will tell you exactly what you need so listen to it.

Take care.

You have been through so much already that you didn't need this! Still, you are still here and I am sure you are a source of inspiration and admiration to us all. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this time, that God will step in and do something wonderful for you today and that your life will get better and better. I can't do much to help but I know Someone who can and I pray He will bring you encouragement support and health. It is hard to understand why you have had so many medical issues to contend with but I believe that you are a woman of influence and purpose whose tenacity in the face of adversity will touch many lives. May you be truly blessed.

Have you been eating shellfish or sushi? What an upset for you, as if you didn't have enough to cope with already. Pleased you are feeling a little better now though and the bonus of losing 4lbs, but not in a way you wanted to of course. Take care Tori, thinking of you often and as always sending love and hugs xxxxx
