hi

Any thoughts on this

My BNP test is 180, my EF 50 I have mild MR mildly dilated LVH . My peak flow varies between 680-720

I have had a x ray on my lungs and ok

I do have asthma

I have none persistent AF highest pulse 170 the highest but 55-65 normal blood pressure is ok never been a issue , oxygen level ok 98 mostly

I am on a large dose of Bisoprolol 15mg. I was on 10mg but become breathless particularly at night around 10pm but it continued all day a little milder so my GP put me to 15mg last week the GP tried to reduce it to 12.5mg my breathless issues returned within a day of going back on 15mg I was fine slept great .

My breathing is so poor without the 15mg I have to sleep with a fan next to me when laying down it seems to want to cut the air supply yet it’s not apnea either I feel i trying to suck air in

The lungs x Ray revealed no issues

I can’t seem to find why with my heart in the condition it is I can’t reduce the 15mg . I am in a waiting list for a heat monitor but 3 doctors have told me it’s not the symptoms of heart failure as I have 3 blood test and a echo the heart could be better of course

Any ideas or anyone experienced the same

I have no health issues other than this kidney liver thyroid b12 all checked

Hello Just a question do you take the 15mg Bisoprolol in one go or is it spread over the day?? I am only on a lower dose 7.5mg once a day it keeps my HR at around 50, I am breathless at times which is a pain. Biggest dose of Bisoprolol has been 10mg and my HR dropped to 33 overnight so back to the 7.5mg. As a matter of interest what other meds are you on.

I think at 15mg your not just sleeping well you are probably comatose LOL

Regards

Hi I take 7.5 at 8am 2.5 at 1pm amd 5mg at 10pm . I have very little breathing trouble I have not had the energy I have now for more than I remember and I never need to nap in the day . It’s very strange as the opposite to what happens to everyone else but I wonder if it helps with my asthma I have read research that pouts to that instead the original thoughts . I am on Amiodarine if I have spelt that right a thinner and calcium channel blocker’s . My medication is under review as this was pre cardioversion that wasn’t required in the end

very breathless last couple of days not sure if it’s the cold playing havoc with my asthmatic or the Bisoprolol dose
