sorry for asking more questions but this forum is a really good source of advice rather than using Google and overly worrying.
I am currently aroundthe 5 weeks post op of triple bypass. Sometimes I feel like I can feel and see my heartbeat. Its not missing a beat or faster than what my Fitbit says it my new normal. But I feel like I feel my heart beat and I can sometime feel like I can see my heart in my chest.
Did anyone else experience this.

Dear Carlg
Please never say sorry about asking questions, its important for both sides, you for getting some answers and for us to make sure that each topic is kept fresh for whoever comes along.
What you are feeling is very common and a lot of us go through this, you are now so tuned into your heart that sure you can hear/see it.
we always could but were to busy to notice.
If you think at anytime that something is wrong then don’t hesitate in contacting your Dr/Heart clinic, it is alway better to be safe than sorry, but on the whole once a normal { whatever that is } routine begins for you your heart and all its workings will slip back into the background exactly were it belongs.
Take care { and ask away, we all did and still do }
Hi. As Blue1958 says, we all tend to experience this, particularly after surgery as we are so focused on our heart. I had weeks where I was being driven mad by Eptopic beats but Ive learned to ignore them. The ticking from my mechanical valve still drives me crazy but I hope, in time, I’ll learn to ignore that too. 😊. Obviously if you don’t feel right you should go and get a check up as there’s no harm in that. I hope, however, that as your recovery progresses then your worries about your heart beat will fade. It’s still very early days though and I remember feeling very anxious about every twinge I felt . If you have any questions or concerns don’t be afraid to post them. The people on this forum are brilliant and will do their best to help.
