I have a heart rate of around 88 BP around 120/70 I have an irregular heart rate between 36 and 135. My heart also can seem to miss a beat ( forgotten the name) When it is missing about 12 beats a min I feel quite unwell I aim for 5000 steps a day
It seems that if I feel well enough to be more active my heart doesn’t miss beats. But because my heart is so irregular I am fairly careful.
My temp is 37 at the moment. On those rare occasions that it drops below that I feel really well.
Does anyone have any idea of why the missing beat problem goes away when I am slightly more active
I have had a 24 hour heart monitor which just showed occasional missing beats but no problem

Because when your heartrate is higher it crowds out the ectopic (missing) beats, your heart doesn't have time to mess about. I need to be over 100bpm to reduce my ectopic.
The doctors in my surgery work on the principle that they say ‘you’re ok’ or similar. If you don’t go back then you can’t be that bad.
I work on the principle that ‘Dr says I’m ok so stop being a wimp and get on with it’
Taken me a long time to work this out.
Plus the process of getting an appointment is so long. All designed to discourage.
That is why my other probs have taken so long to diagnose
Dr appointments now meant to last 8 mins. So not likely to see the Dr if firstly their default position is not to believe me and secondly they have not got time.
Saw a practise nurse yesterday. It seems they work in the same principle. Who is me. I v gently disagreed with something she said.
Thank you for taking the time to respond. This forum is wonderful.
I think we all struggle with dismissive Drs and inadequate appt times but if you believe something is not right you have to keep going back until they listen and either give you an explanation or refer you on to a Consultant, who actually can be just as bad !!
My Cardiologists first reaction was "nothing wrong " but I insisted on further tests and the results proved me right !

I remembered a conversation that I had many years ago with a health professional. He said that research had shown that a stick of celery, half an apple and a quarter an onion was good for the heart and circulation.
Well the specialist says there is nothing unusual but I still feel unwell my heart is still erratic and it is much more steady through night than In the day. I thought that it could not do any harm so started having it as my meal once a day.
I am amazed. My heart rate has dropped from 90ish to 80ish my heart is more regular and I don’t get a feeling of pressure in my kneck ( whatever that is about).
I sometimes can’t face eating it and within a few days feel worse.
I don’t know why but for me it seems to make a difference.
