Hi,

Just found out my partner has ALCAPA he is 39 and healthy but suffered a sudden cardiac arrest last week and through scans they have uncovered this.

he should have surgery next week.

Just wondered if anyone was in a similar situation? Most things online talk about children not adults.

Welcome to the forum.

I am sorry to hear that your partner has had a cardiac arrest.

It must be such a worrying time for you. Also a shock to learn about their heart problem.

An Anomalous left coronary artery from the pulmonary artery (ALCAPA) is a rare congenital heart condition.

There is a support group for adults born with heart problems. The Sommerville Foundation they maybe able to help you further.
