Are you saying you have been waiting six months for medication ? Who gave you the diagnosis as normally you are prescribed meds at that point. Or the very least your GP would have been informed to issue prescription. Not being treated for six months will be a major problem for insurance
Exactly as previous post by gilreid1 You should have a copy of a letter or similar from the unit that diagnosed your condition, with the original going direct to the GP. What does it say? But whether you have it or not you should still be talking to your GP who will be able to prescribe medication if it was required.
I can only echo what gilread1 and Lowerfield have said. Once you have a written diagnosis and treatment plan all will be fine to get travel insurance, although it will cost a bit more. I was referred to cardiology by a locum GP, researched my local hosp and the wait for an appt was 7 months, so I went privately to see a cardiologist. I know this is not an option for many, but felt that it was worth it as I wanted to travel and needed travel insurance.
Once I had seen the cardiologist and had a diagnosis ( no treatment needed) our travel insurance was happy to add ‘tachycardia’ onto my cover for a small extra fee.
