Hissing sound

Not had this before. Anyone knows what a hissing sound in head is , lasted about ten minutes along with some dizziness. I thought it was my bicycle tyre going down or computer fans so went indoors and then realised its what my brain is wrongly receiving. It went away after 15 minutes but now feel a bit strange but ok I guess?

I have a hissing whistle that has lived with me for so long that it now is a part of me, mine of course is tinnitus.

Not being medically trained it’s impossible for me to answer your question, but this weather { over cast, heavy, depressive } that we have down here in the south, make my ears pop and hiss a bit, could it be something like that?

Sure its called something and its caused by the atmospheric pressure.

But like all things if its concerning you then contact your DR who may be able to help with an ear check up.

My tinnitus was caused after I developed nerve damage in my ear. It has never gone away, but I am used to it now and forget about it most of the time.

I have this to and I know it is one of my medications which I have pinpointed could be Bisoprolol I take which I am about to try something different instead

It is so weird when it happens I have sort of got used to it but as it was happening a lot I did speak to my Doctor and they agreed it sounded like a side effect

Interesting. I thought my computer fans were breaking or something . Did not seem to come from one ear but throughout. Ok as I thought, nothing to worry about.. It was loud too.

Yes mine goes all through my head when it happens a bit like you feel you are getting an electric shock going through your head and a weird hard to describe buzzing noise

It may never happen to you again could just be one of those one of things x

I think it was pre-syncope the cause and more like a Whoosh for ten minutes constant sound.. I was fitiqued after and still am with many PVC's in last 24 hours. Nauseous so I reckon low BP related. I need that CRT-P

Try two drops of olive oil, ideally overnight. It might ease the hissy fit.

It does not appear to come from the ears to be honest.

Oh well it did not come back. I suspect its something to do with fainting. I have very low bp. Some kind opr pre syncope effect..

Sounds (no pun intended) like tinnitus. I have it permanently, but it is often accentuated by fatigue, which is a very common side effect of the wonderful heart medication we all take.

You describe something which happened to me recently. In my case I heard the hissing (or singing) noise as I awoke from syncope, which in my case was due to my ICD firing.

If you have an ICD yourself, you maybe ought to get it interrogated soon.

No device yet but due to have one fitted in late October (supposed to be urgent). I do have very low BP , and low pulse, Many PVC's, ventricular failure and go dizzy a lot, fatique etc.

After looking into it, it was more like a constant loud Whoosh for ten to 15 minutes. I do thing it was something to do with pre-syncope. I was more curious than worried but have emailed the cardio folk. It seems we all seem to get it or have had similar.

Sometimes I can hear my heart beating in my left ear 😂 it's always the left ear never the right! Usually lasts 10 to 15 minutes then goes away. Not sure why it happens either.

I’ve had a loud buzzing noise, like my head was full of bees, before passing out. I also have low blood pressure.
