Hello I hope everyone is enjoying the weather before the heat wave next week.
I am new to having a problem with my heart and the British Heart Nurse said it sounded like I had a back flow problem.
I have received my BNP blood test result and apparently all is well except I have a low white blood cell count so have to repeated test in 4 weeks. The test was done as a result of high blood pressure reading for a fortnight and being woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I couldn't breath.
My Ramipril was increased last week to 5mg but my blood pressure is still on the high side I am incredibly tired and can drop of to sleep at least twice a day as well as getting a full 8 hours sleep at night also experiencing bad headaches and finding it difficult to eat a meal.
Has anyone experienced anything similar to this?
Why would a low blood count effect my heart?
Would be very grateful for any help. Thank you so much.

I think these are the questions you should be asking your GP. You have already taken a step in the right direction by talking to the BHF Nurse. Remember people on here are not medical professionals and can usually only draw on something from their own experience or something they have read, and given we are all different that may not apply to you. Your GP will have access to all of your medical records and should be able to help.
