Hi seaphin, I’m sorry your having such a rough time. I’m not medically trained but if you’re getting breathlessness and having chest pain and been in AF for over 24 hours I really think that warrants a call to 111 for a chat with them. It maybe that you can increase your medication but that needs a doctor’s approval of course, so my advice would be to call them.
The strong advice from doctors and cardiologists is that if you have new or changing symptoms this needs immediate medical attention. Chest pain in particular needs immediate attention. See your GP today or go to A and E. You could get the ball rolling by ringing 111 as advised by Threecats. They can assess over the phone and advise on the best option. I hope you are able to get this resolved as soon as possible.
Can you get through to your GP? Telephone or econsult. Do you have an arrhythmia nurse you could contact? Can you present yourself to A&E stressing the chest pain of course. Your meds may need adjusting & obviously you need some advice & reassurance.Or ring 111 for advice or the BHF nurses.
