OT - Quiz

Because of other commitments I am unable to run a virtual gathering suggested by Lezzers his weekend. Anyway snow is forecast. However, I was thinking of a quiz. I could post the questions at midday tomorrow with the winner being the first person to reply with all answers correct. Anyone interested?

If people cheat Goggle slows them down. Just imagine people Googling on Mastermind (my favourite quiz, second is University Challenge) they would only have time for three or four questions! 🤣🤣🤣

Morning Monica,John is still in hospital, still not very well. They are now saying he as had multiple strokes. So his brain is still scrambled. I get 45 minutes visiting and maybe 90% of the time he is somewhere I can’t reach him, and then he appears I can speak to him normally and then he slips through my fingers. The consultant says he could come back but there is no knowing. 2 weeks ago he as started walking again with the help of the physios they work with him daily.

I read what is going on on the forum while I have a coffee. I hope at some point I will be back properly.

Lately I have been reading the posts here( so many new people!😮) but I haven't replied to any, bit like yourself.

I have got some health issues now unfortunately, not related to my ❤which is doing it's job with the new valve(nearly 2 years since AVR) ,so I'm not 100% , thanks for asking.

Oh I am so sorry to read your struggling with your health. I hope that things improve for you quickly.I have decided to rejoin the gym! If I can get John home I need to get stronger! I have started Aquafit and am going to try Tai Chi, my sons tell me I need to strengthen my core😩

Thank you Pauline! 😍Good for you for doing all those activities! 👏 I try to do yoga daily, it's all I can manage! Plus daily walk to shops in city centre...trying to avoid buses now the masks are not compulsory.

I love some quizzes; Mastermind and University Challenge are my favourites too. I used to watch Only Connect but I’d be lucky if I got a couple of answers correct. Sadly I don’t think I’ll have time for your quiz this weekend Michael as I love watching the rugby union on TV and am packing for my first holiday since my heart attack. I hope it doesn’t snow next week.

I’m back from sunny Sherwood Forest. Five days at Centerparcs I’ve always wanted to go but could never afford it. It was always cheaper to take the kids and grandkids to the South of France. First real break since my HA three years ago. I had a very physically challenging time but overall enjoyable experience. I’m shattered now. How did the quiz go?

Glad to hear you had a good if challenging time I've never been to Centre PARC's but Sherwood Forest itself is just great, is the big tree that's held up with crutches still there? I missed the quiz, I've been having a lot of difficulty getting on the site & with the format so not been around much

I didn’t notice a tree like that. I don’t find this site as user friendly as it used to be so I’m not on it as much myself these days.

You would have noticed the tree if it's still there's, it's a big tourist attraction. Interesting to know you don't find the site user friendly anymore, I put up a post recently about the changes & it seemed only myself and 1 other member had the changed site!

I'm not sure if I will participate, with the brain a bit foggy at the moment due to the time of the year, the dire situation re; Ukraine and some of my health problems which are worrying me.

Not my old ticker, that seems to do it's job well now nearly 2 years since AVR. 👌👏

I love University Challenge, it's the only quiz I watch, oh, and Mastermind sometimes.

Love quizzes but the time isn't possible. How about giving it say an hour or two or until some time in the evening then taking al ist of all those who get it all right then doing a lucky dip of names. That would work better for anyone who has slow internet or may be at work.
