Heart pain after dentist ... immflamation

Hiya my son is waiting for a heart valve operation and had to have treatment at the dentist didn't have antibiotics . He'd been having chest pains a few weeks before then they got worse after dentist he'd got infections in teeth so went hospital they said he has immflamation in his heart and just gave co codomol nothing else and no advice as to how to recover , how bad it is , if he can still have operation , should he be working he won't stop unless someone tells him to . Has anyone had myocarditis and information on what to do next . Any help would be appreciated

I have not had this but reading your post I would suggest you get him to contact his Doctor and also he will have a Consultant and he can phone the Consultants Secretary and ask to pass on a message to talk to them , explain what has happened and let them know he is not sure now if this will affect his operation
