I've been experiencing some other symptoms during the last few weeks since my last post.
Lately my heart rate has been erratic going from mid 50s to over 120 bpm then back down again like a roller coaster ride in a matter of seconds which would last for around 30 mins or more resulting in me feeling very tired and lightheaded but then i would also get uncontrollable shakes.
This has happened twice over the last 2 weeks the most recent being on Monday while i was at work on my lunch break my heart rate suddenly dropped to 38 bpm then shot up again with terrible shakes i couldn't even hold a cup of water without it spilling over.
Since then I have what feels like a chest infection which is uncomfortable when I inhale and exhale with an aching body and a static electrical feeling if that makes sense across my chest but its not stabbing pains just uncomfortable and my oxygen readings are sometimes low at 80% while sleeping.
Also I have other symptoms of feeling sick while eating but not being sick and loss of appetite.
I have had various test done over the last 2 years consisting of an echo, ecg, mri, exercise test, 24 hour monitor and bloods etc with results coming back stating I have mild left ventricular hypertrophy with a wall thickness of 1.3cm (lvh), bradycardia with a resting heart rate of 33bpm and mild mitral valve regurgitation and leaking pulmonary and tricuspid valve too.
I've been on bisoprolol for 2 years now and my heart rate was steady around 42 bpm but since December it has gone up to mid 50s at resting.
My symptoms during the past 2 years have been feeling lightheaded and fatigued, irregular heartbeat with palpatations and ectopic beats etc also as mentioned feeling sick while eating, pains in my chest , waking up gasping for air and sometimes a high blood pressure reading.
My next appointment is in April and thats a telephone consultation to speak to someone in the valve clinic.
Should I wait or go to my gp beforehand to get things checked out? I don't want to be a nuisance.
I am not an expert but I would talk with my GP now about this and what is happening they may want to get you to see someone sooner or they may say they are happy with the plan of talking to someone in April
Let us know how you get on x

Hi BeKind28, thanks for your advice I will arrange an appointment with my gp to update him on my new symptoms like you suggested and hopefully get things moving quicker or checked out at least.
Hi Taz71. My personal opinion is that if you are suffering from an increase in symptoms and your next appointment isn't until April you should speak to your GP. You are not "being a nuisance" that is what they are there for. You may find your GP could expedite your appointment. Alternatively, think about phoning the BHF nurses, who I understand are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Best wishes x
Hi Netteken, thanks for your advice and i agree maybe I should update my gp on my new symptoms and maybe get things moving quicker.

Morning all,
Thought I'd give you all an update since my last post regarding whats been happening since my last time on here.
I woke up on Thursday feeling a bit off with an uncomfortable tight feeling in my chest not crippling pain just not right.
So it was about 11am while at work my pulse dropped to 40bpm resulting in me feeling tired and lightheaded and looking very grey, come 30 mins later I'm in the ambulance on route to A&E.
While in the ambulance apparently my pulse dropped 30bpm and I had uncontrollable shakes yet again but my blood pressure was ok.
By the time I arrived at hospital the shakes had stopped and I started to feel a bit better and my pulse had come up to around 55bpm.
I made the doctor's aware of my previous history results being left ventricular hypertrophy , bradycardia and mitral valve regurgitation, with pulmonary and tricuspid valve leaking too.
I was in A&E for 8 hours having blood test, chest x-ray, ecg and echo which thankfully all came back ok.
The doctor couldn't explain why my heart rate drops suddenly with terrible shaking episodes and has asked my gp and cardiologist to try and get me in for more test in the next week or two as my next appointment isn't till April which is a telephone call.
He thinks its down to my leaking valves and maybe be something to do with the electrical current in my heart not behaving properly.
So im still not feeling ok with some tightness to my chest and feeling very tired with a low heart rate of 35bpm at times.
Fingers crossed I will get an appointment soon to get checked out.
Heart rate.
Hi Happyjo,
Thanks for your advice and outcome on your own experience with regards to my slow heart rate, sometimes mine will go to over 120 beats while resting then drop to 38 etc resulting in me feeling tired and lightheaded too.
Recently I've been having terrible shakes after each episode and also feeling the urge to be sick while eating but I never have been.
Maybe they will look at a pacemaker to help sort out my heart rhythm if its needed time will tell.
Regards
Taz71
Going from 220 to 35 must of felt horrible for you I've had a max of 224 but that was while riding my bike.Glad to see the pacemaker is doing its job and everything is looking ok now.
I'm going to give my gp an update on my new symptoms too as its been over 12 months since I had a face to face with anyone about it in depth and maybe have some more test done.
Hi can I ask how you know so much information about your condition my consultants just say it’s normal for your age or slightly elevated this sort of thing and up to now I have not questioned this
