Vitamin A and Mech Valve replacement

Hi there

Just wondering if anyone knows if you can take Vitamin A after having Mechanical heart valve replacement as I’ve been told to avoid certain herbal remedies ie St Johns Wart

Someone recommended me to try Vitamin A drops having lost a lot of my taste and smell since contracting Covid 15 months ago
