I was told that as you get older our blood becomes more sticky, so blood thinners help the blood ease it’s way through our arteries and veins, I have a replacement aortic valve a tissue one so thinner blood helps the valve. As for blood pressure don’t really know, haven’t heard of anything.
Best wishes Pauline
So-called 'blood thinners' don't actually thin the blood. They are more accurately called anticoagulants. They don't affect the viscosity of your blood or your blood pressure. They only affect the ability of your blood to clot following an injury.
As beardy says , it’s not thick or thin blood it’s all to do with clotting.
Many thanks for the info, much appreciated.
