Can anyone recommend a blood pressure monitor for home use that connects with the NHS so you can quickly upload results to your GP?

I was given a chart to fill in with my values twice a day, for a week. Then I took it to the practice nurse and we discussed the results. Remember, a single reading is not very helpful. They need an average.

I don't know of any device that sends readings direct. Others may know different.

i’m currently on a system called FLORENCE.. don’t know if it’s only used in Scotland though..i receive a text 2 days a week to take my BP morning and evening and text it back.. seems it goes straight to my medical practice .. they calculate average BP… i currently have Hypertension.. taking 2 medications.. hopefully won’t need a third lol

Hi Monpertuis, try looking at the Omron, there are a few models. Mine connects via bluetooth to my phone, where all the readings are stored in an app. The app produces PDF's that you can email anywhere you like, including Dr's and hospitals. They are not very expensive. Mine is an Ormron M7 Intelli IT.

that’s exactly the way I do it and it works very well.

It's a good system and easy to use, but my GP practice has stopped taking BP readings by email. I now have to send them my results by post every 6 months and very few readings actually make it onto my records. I forgot to send the last lot at the end of June and I haven't been contacted, so they will get the whole year at the end of December. Exactly what they will make of that I don't know.

I’ve got also got a ormron which as a app and it logs all your blood pressure results and you can email your readings to whoever wants them. Never had a problem with it and it even tells you when to take a reading. Keeps my drs happy look on Argos check out reviews

You could try asking your GP practice which monitor is compatible with their system?
