Dear Pace1
I shall be following your post with interest as it seems that after all the coming and going’s of the last year that I may also end up with a pacemaker.
I’m so sorry that I can’t answer your question but I’m sure that help is on its way.
Take care and a Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.
Thank you, and good luck with your journey. I had the pacemaker put in after a complication when ablation was happening so had no time to research. Merry Christmas to you and happy new year
Hi you will probably be aware of this feeling for a while as there are nerves mending after the op and they take a while to knit together again. Your scar may be sensitive as well but any concern I would give the nurses at pacemaker clinic a ring and they can definitely help. Hope you feel better soon x
Thank you I didn’t even know you could ring the nurses I have an appointment in Jan so will bring this up. I didn’t know I was going to have a pacemaker so have no info really and when you look up most things say after a week you should feel better so I’m just worried that after 4 weeks it still pains.
Many thanks x
Please don’t worry too much it’s quite normal to still have pain and as I said the clinic will help with any problems. It’s quite a process to go through and the mental side isn’t always plain sailing don’t underestimate what you’ve been through x
My husband had the same problems after his pacemaker was fitted. As with any operation the nerves take time to settle down. Your brain is also focussing on this making it hard to ignore. He found after overusing the arm it was worse. Take it a little easier whilst the scar heals internally.
