Managing to cope after having heart attack, with plenty of walking and changing my diet but having a lot of problem with muscle ache. I had never had any muscle pain before but straight after my heart attack I had frozen shoulder on my left, then tennis elbow on my right I now apparently due to pin sand needles up and down my arms and aching muscles on my my upper right arm have radial nerve problem. Whilst having that I now have under left arm muscle ache. At first I put this down to statins but I am only on 5mg of Rovortastin after originally being on 80mg, 40mg and 10mg Avortastatin. I only take 30mg Lansaprozole before breakfast then Aspirin, 1.25mg Bisoprolol, 30mg Isosorbide Mononitrate and Clodiprogrel after breakfast. Wonder if one of these is to blame or if it's just bad luck.

Hi, interesting post. Not long after my stents were fitted I had toothache in one of my back teeth so bad I nearly had it taken out, despite the Dentist being adamant that there was nothing wrong with it. Eventually it just went off, but I have had similar recur on the other side, might be co-incidence but a bit strange. More like you though I have also had a recurring problem with pins and needles in both arms, or just either one, or occasionally in hands as well. This is even without any medication at all for a couple of weeks here and there. I have never had an explanation as to why, sometimes is goes away for weeks and then comes back for varying lengths of time and can happen after vigorous exercise but only now and then. It's not painful and I have got used to it, just a bit odd. I think for some reason, your body just doesn't like a foreign body running through it! I have gone through a few phases of thinking Atorvastatin was causing muscle problems but I think it is much more likely due to the level of activity and the advancing years to be honest.
