How long might I have to wait for an Angiogram. Very anxious, not about the procedure itself, but not knowing how long I might have to wait.

Waiting Times for Angiogram
In the same boat, live in Wales and the waiting times are horrendous, I was referred mid September, not even a letter yet with a date, EP said could be some time. Terrible state of affairs.
I was referred on Oct. 4, and had it 11 days later. However, I got lucky as I got a cancellation. Keep your phone handy, you may get a call out of the blue.
Truth is it will depend on lots of things, I live in Wales and in 2017 I waited 3 - 4 months but waiting times are worse now. When I was admitted to hospital 5 weeks ago with Angina pain the Cardiologist told me she was referring me for and angiogram/angioplasty (I had to go to another hospital) she told me I would be foolish to discharge myself to go onto a waiting list rather than wait in the hospital as the waiting lists are horrendous. I think a lot depends on where you live and how urgent the request was.
I was admitted mid Sep and told an angiogram would be done within 6 weeks. I telephoned after 9 weeks and there had been a mix up with paperwork. I’m told I’m now on the list and i shouldn’t have long to wait.Might be worthwhile phoning and asking how long it might be.
I would have thought it would depend on how serious your condition is deemed to be and whereabouts in the country you are.I felt absolutely awful and knew that something wasnt right, I guessed I was suffering from a heart attack, I ended up in A&E who within15 minutes said I'd had a HA and that I would be transferred to another hospital for an angiogram.....the other hospital said they couldnt fit me in on that day.
I was admitted and didn't get transferred for a week to have my angioplasty, four of us had were transferred on the same day, the other three had all been waiting a couple of days longer than me.
I had a stress MRI in September was similar to ChoocSiesta except they had a pump to administer drugs so didn't come out the machineWas quite a strange experience but not as bad as I thought it might be
I got my appointment for angiogram last week with a date exactly 12 months after being referred. I was fortunate to be able to afford a private one 11 months ago which resulted in 2 stents fitted.
