The HTML on the link is covid, then it's a scam.
The simplest way of getting a covid pass is by downloading the NHS App - see link attached explaining it - this is not the same as the NHS Covid App (that's the one that would have needed to checkin to pubs etc up to last July, and also told you to self isolate)
I received the very same text earlier this evening. I have chosen to delete it and will go through the proper channels if i feel i need a pass. May well be as am text.better safe than sorry.
I had a similar email saying I could be fined if I did not apply for it. Then they wanted money so I assumed it was another scam.
Its a scam don't answer it they ask for your name phone number and doctors post code then it goes on to the part where they ask for £4.99 and all your bank details. Delete and block it.
It’s a scam. Just use the NHS app if you want one. It’s free.
Thanks for the replies I thought it was a scam and had deleted just posting for others who may see it.
Regards
Best to use the NHS app. You'll need to have a digital covid passport if you intend to travel.
I had the same text message, they're probably after your bank details. If you're concerned you can give me your bank details and I'll keep them safe for you ☺️🤣
I will check with my wife to see if I can pass the bank details on !! maybe your a scammer lol
Best Regards
Sounds like a scam
Do not click, this is a scam. You don’t need to apply for a covid pass, all you need is the NHS App, registered with your GP. Your Covid pass will then be available to you on the app. Unfortunately there are some people only too happy to try to get money out of other people in this way.
Scam as uou don't apply
I received one of these emails about a month ago and also wondered if it was a scam. I decided not to use the link as I'm not planning on going anywhere; but it now looks as though we may need a pass to get into arena events etc. I think the best thing to do is go to the NHS.gov.uk site the long way, not through the link. Also, don't use any site that requests payment for the pass.
Sounds like a scam.
