Hello had my heart attack in may and had one stent. Was in hospital for a week. Was recovering when I had to return to hospital with Pericarditis. Currently on all the medication and recovering from flu like systems. Suffer with Asthma and Diabetes. When should I think to return to work. Just had an echocardiogram, heart at 42%. Still have two weeks of cardiac recovery to do. When I ask the Doctor about returning to work says I need to complete cardiac recovery. Just would like an idea. Flu set me back but steroids and antibiotics have helped my Asthma.

When should I return to work
Impossible for us to say. With your various problems, you are probably the best judge, - which I realise is not very helpful.
I would say, given your current state of health, as far in the future as possible, unless you are itching to start work again and think it will help your recovery. You didn't say if you do physical or mental work, or whether it involves travel.
In my case, I was allowed to return gradually after my most recent HA, after 6 weeks, and ramped it up to a full day in about 3 months. I do stressful mental work so at first after 4 hours I was completely done for. I was able to work while undergoing rehab.
HiDon’t rush back to early as your body has told you to take a bit easier for a bit.
Good luck Andy
Based on my own experiences, I would suggest to err on the side of caution and make sure you feel 100% better both physically and mentally. Put yourself first, work through your cardiac rehab which I found to be fantastic in terms of building confidence, and then take a check point to assess how you are.
I was off 3 months after a LAD Stemi and then went back on a phased return. I then reduced my hours because such an event doesn’t half change your outlook which is actually quite a positive thing I reckon.
Good luck and take care!
