Heart Pills and Eczema

Nearly 10 months after starting on heart pills (ticagrelor, aspirin, ramipiril 2.5 , atorvastatin. lanzaprolole) following an angiogram (1 stent fitted), terrible eczema eruptions on my whole body plus itchy scalp and blocked ears. Could this be a side-effect of ramipiril which is a thiazide diuretic ? Has anyone else suffered eczema side-effects ? What did you do ?

I have never heard of this as a side effect of any of the medications you are on. You need to speak with your GP today or, if unavailable, 111. It sounds like a reaction or infection that may need antibiotics and/or antihistamines. If you get any swelling around the mouth/throat then it is 999!

BTW Ramipril is an ACE Inhibitor not a diuretic.

Do keep us updated.

Yes, pretty much same for me. Less than a month on Tricagrelor I had a horrible blister like rash over my body and red and very itchy patches on face and scalp. No joy with steroid creams from GP so after 3 months paid to see dermatologist who asked GP to change me from Tricagrelor to Clopidogrel - rash pretty much cleared up very quickly though I still have problems with very itchy scalp. Don't think I will be happy until I've finished anti platelet meds completely.
