Recently had ablation and pacemaker fitted.Feeling little improvement re.breathlessness, tiredness etc.Now experiencing severe stiffness and joint pain and low potassium levels.Feel this has been caused by Carvedilol but hospital not interested saying up to GP and she admits she is out of her depth.Help ,don't know where to turn next. The situation is very depressing as no follow up or interest shown to Patients wellbeing.

Your GP can call or write to your Cardiologist for advice. My GP doesn't have anything to do with my pacemaker or heart problems but she's happy to call them for help if needs be.Other options are talk to your arrhythmia nurse if you have one or the pacing team as they can often be very useful.

Hope you have better luck than I did. Left a message for Heart Nurse on Monday, now Friday and no response. When I was really ill my gp tried several times to get my cardiologist to help but it took 5 months and then he confessed he was shocked at my deterioration but did not know what to do and sent me home!
