Are you on any other medication? I'm on this and never had a problem? Maybe ask your gp

Presumably all the symptoms you are experiencing started after taking Bisoprolol and that there is no other factor involved. 1.25mg is the smallest dose normally available. I am on the same dose and other than occasional dizziness when I stand up after sitting still relaxing for a while, I have no problem. I have tracked this down to the fact that my heart rate will drop to around 45 bpm when I am sat. My normal resting rate is 55 - 58 bpm.

There are quite a number of alternative drugs to Bisoprolol. I would advise your GP of the problems that you are having and see whether your prescription can be changed.

This system has messed around with my figures, but the 1st column in the intake in mg, the 2nd column body drug level in mg's, and 3rd column, the anount, in mg's, carried over. Hope this makes sense to somebody!

Hi Hannahpanda27, sorry to hear your feeling unwell. I have Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and I started on bisoprolol (2.5mg) in 2014. Other than getting tired when sitting during the day or my heartbeat dropping to mid to high 40's when resting, I have no other symptoms. The doc says this is good apparently as the heart does not get stressed. I am now on 5mg and things are still pretty much the same. If I move around, my heartrate increases fine. Recently I was anxious about having my ICD fitted and I found this made me sleepless and unwell. Now it's fitted, I am fine. I know it sounds daft but maybe you could be worrying about the drug or maybe even your condition which is making you feel this anxiety. The best thing is to chat with your consultant / GP and hopefully they can help you feel better :) Good luck :)
