I wonder if anyone else has experienced any side effects with the beta blocker Nadolol ?
I had a total of 5 SCAs In June this year and now have an ICD fitted. My recovery was going slow but well on Propanolol 40mg TID until it was switched to Nadolol 80mg a week ago. Now I feel worse than when I left hospital! No energy, stomach issues, and very depressed. Have improved today since not taken last dose. Was able to cycle 10 miles a day before, now struggling to get up stairs
No joy in getting any information from hospital - anyone able to advise?
Thanks, Calum 61

Hello, I’ve been on nadolol for over a year. I switched from metoprolol after that medication caused weight gain and mood swings. I notice a similar effect with Nadolol. It works well for blood pressure and anxiety, which is why I take it, but I do have side effects. It does seem to make me very lethargic and feel a little depressed. I have also found that I can’t lose weight no matter how much I try. It’s frustrating and I may ask for another medication instead.
