Simvastatin

I am on 80mg of Simvastatin recently being changed from 80mg of Atorvastatin. Atorvastatin caused very bad cramps in the legs at night I'd be interested to know how people have found Simvastatin.

Dossy, I suffered very bad pains in my legs on 20mg Atorvastatin and switched to 40 mg Simvastatin, no more pains.

I had awful cramp at night on Atorvastin, read the leaflet and found it can be taken any time, so swapped and take it in the morning. Cramp gone !

I had to swap from atorvastatin. No problems at all with simvastatin

Hi Dossy,I suffered terrible leg cramps from atorvastatin.I took myself off them & told my doctor & haven't had one leg cramp since.I would speak to your doctor before coming off any medication first.

Hi, I have not experienced any cramps in my legs with ATORVASTATIN, you should speak to your GP.
