I am trying to understand if it is normal pulse. When I’m very resting and my pulse showed 57. When I am in deep sleep and my pulse showed 54. Is it normal?
When I am in sleep and then I moved around while I sleep. I felt pounding and I checked my pulse showed 78. Is it normal?

Hi, everybodies pulse rate is different. I have been recording mine with other stats for many years. When asleep it will drop to the low 40's when relaxing in a chair it can be mid 50's in the gym when jogging I can get it up past 135bpm I'm in my late 60's and over the moon that most of my body is still working. I am pretty sure you will get more replies so that you can make an informed decision. Stay safe.
As per your other reply, what’s normal varies from person to person and is dependent on a lot of factors, including age, how fit you are, medication you take, and any underlying medical issues. Generally, though, anything between 50 and 100 is considered ‘normal’ when awake, and sleeping heart rate should be lower than waking heart rate. I’m 37, I have an arrhythmia I take medication for, high cholesterol, and bunch of other chronic, non-cardiac problems. At total rest, my heart rate is quite routinely in the mid 50s these days, and a holter showed it dropping to 30 in deep sleep. The medics were happy with that in my case, but my issue tends to be it going inappropriately high - turning over in bed will sometimes have it hitting 100. If you are concerned about your heart rate, or have any symptoms that worry you such as dizziness, or fatigue, you should speak to your doctor.
Thanks for replies. When I walk and noticed my pulse is 110 with hot weather. I felt tiny dizzy. I just found out that I have abnormal ekg which means that I have LBBB. I went few tests for cardiogram and nuclear stress test. They are normal but I do have LBBB. I am still lost.
My non medical advice is to have a warm drink and hide the pulsometer every night before going to bed and get a good nights sleep , worrying about pulse readings in the night is not good for your heart rate :)Good health to you
My resting rate is 57 now, always used to be 55 which my cardiilogist said was great. Apparently athletes aim for that rate at rest. Its ysually around 80 when I go to my Dr even when relaxed and sitting still so probably the shortt walk there or just moving around in general. They only get concerned if its 81 or over resting there as that affects their ratings! It can go much higher when miving, even turning over in your sleep. Mine was over 110 some nughts but its best, as PeterpPiper says, to forget monitoring it and focus on getting a good nights sleep without worrying. You can ask your GP about it if concerned or get a BP check and discuss with your nurse.
