I take only 50 mcg of levothyroxine daily and have done for years. I have been fine with this but recently my bloods for TSH have come back borderline, re test in three months. My neck, shoulders thighs and knees have started to really hurt and I am struggling to get about. I also noticed this past week my medication that I have been taking, is out of date by 6 months. (My error). I would appreciate any comments.

I take 75mcg of Levo, most people (especially those on the Thyroid forum) would say that you and I are not taking enough. I can't imagine that Levo being 6 months out of date would do you any good at all, hence it could be why your body is aching. My pills always have over a year before they run out of date.
