I have been on it for over 18 months, and have seen a vast improvement in my EF. 28% to 60%. I don't know how others have got on.

When I was put on it my cardiologist told me my medication was for life.

Yeah it's for life right now as imperial college did a study a few years back with half of the group that wasn't the control side had symptoms come back/worsen without any significant reason. It was called tred-hf I'd you want to look it up.

It was even lead by a the Dr how discharged me at royal Brompton.. that's when you know it's been serious

🤣

Does anyone know if EF varries while taking entresto? Like 50 to 30 if stop exercises Thanks

I’ve been on it, full dose, for 4 years now. Amazing stuff. I’m due an echo soon, but my EF rose from 29% to 55% over the first year and has so far stayed in the low 50’s ever since. If I inadvertently miss a dose I definitely notice it (fatigue and no exercise tolerance) so I guess I am still pretty dependent on it, but I too was told that if it works, just keep going and assume you’ll be on it forever. The Brompton advice was that if you stop it most people (75%) will drop back to their original EF, so not worth trying to come off it. It was only licensed in 2017 in U.K. so I’m not sure how much long term evidence there is about tolerance or cumulative side effects, but without it I prob wouldn’t be here!

hi. I know that this is an older post but I hope you don’t mind me asking you. I’ve been on entresto for 6 months and have seen some improvement in my EF. Did you see the most progress early on or did your EF continue to improve the longer you took entresto. I know that everyone is different but I’m trying to guage whether or not I should hope for more progress. Thanks.

Hi. Thanks for clearing up the Brompton mentioned. That’s first I’ve heard of people on Entresto regressing. Was beginning to become concerned. I think with any medication that you stop, you will probably regress. Cheers!.

HI, I started it in October last year, waiting to have an ECG and consultant appointment to get some results. Feel fine in myself and notice an improvement in the times I'm short of breath so I'm taking that as a positive.

Hi. So you saw a noticeable improvement in shortness of breath? Cheers.

I have been on Entresto this for over 2 years now. I was 35 when started. I had a EF rate of 12%, AFIB, a scar across the heart from heart attack and classed as heart failure lv4. Other words i was a gonner.

3 months in i started entresto and noticed my hands go warm pretty much instantly that week. I now have a ef rate of 45-50% last time they checked.

Since they increased the dose to middle dose i noticed increased fatigue and random chest pains. So i now take a half tablet on morning, 1 full on evening which leaves me more energetic. I do notice brain fog and back pain as a side effect.

Hi. As well as you were doing on lower dose, why wouldn’t they put you back on it. All the best.
