Has anyone else gone from being diagnosed with AFIb to then paroxysmal to then being told it’s completely disappeared? My consultant said to just stay clear of the alcohol and I should be good from now on. It’s a lot different from the conversation 9 months ago where cardioversions and ablations were talked about! It’s mad. On the same day I had results from an ultrasound saying that my fatty liver had also disappeared.
Ps the address is my old address so I’m not fussed it’s there lol.

I had 2 episodes of AF nearly 20 years ago in reaction to chest surgery when my heart was handled and moved. I spent a week in hospital each time wired up to the CCU and vaguely remember having Amiodarone for some time before being discharged from the Cardiac Clinic.Since then it has never happened again, but each time my medical history is discussed I'm told by some doctor that I have AF. So far as I am concerned, I do not, although I do have angina which they are happy to more or less ignore.
It is a strange one ain’t it. It’s like it’s lying dormant in our bodies waiting for us to be completely unaware then a week of crap then back to normal!!
Same here Mountwood. I had surgery in 2019, shortly after had a bout of Afib and was back in hospital. Amiodarone was definitely given and then discharged. Touch wood, nothing since.....let's hope it stays that way.
I hope you stay free of it. I've had nearly 20 years now and I do get a bit miffed when I'm told I still have it and they want me on anti-coagulants which I have always refused.
