At last - someone who understands what Homocysteine is!

I had a small victory this week when I received a call from my GP surgery requesting a BP reading. "Err, while you're on...." I said. First I noted that due to Covid I had missed my annual blood test last year - no problem getting that done. Then I advised that I really did need a Homocysteine level test as I haven't had one since being discharged by pathology at the local hospital, two years ago. Within a few minutes my request had been referred to one of the GPs and I received a text from the GP confirming that the test had been added. No ifs, no buts.

To say the least, I am extremely pleased!

I take "over the counter" Vitamin B to correct the level, so it is off the radar as far as my GP is concerned, yet it was thought to be a significant factor in me having a heart attack. Of course I wasn't tested prior to my HA and my last test was not that far inside the normal range, so I am keen to know whether the daily tablet is keeping me on track. 😀

Well I hope so for you! I take extra vitamin D 3 as not getting out that much over winter time! 🙏
