Not completely sure why but really struggled this morning... maybe my C25K programme dip point but so early?!
It was freezing cold again just like Monday (wind chill feeling minus 7’) but felt much worse today, possibly the new breathing technique introduced is testing me and in my case my lung capacity perhaps has not quite got back to a ‘normal’ level 13 wks post bypass, will be discussing with my friendly neighbourhood cardiac rehab team later today... only silver lining, I completed run so stay on track! 👊

They said the freezing cold air/temperatures will have a significant bearing on my cardio vascular system being so ‘early’ after CABG, that and remembering the C25K programme is not primarily designed for people who have undergone open heart surgery recently! Their advice was to just ease off (even more than I am already) be patient and be kind too myself, especially with current outside temperatures. They also suggested obtaining internal advice from a Physiologist to support me who will be joining their team sometime soon. I have to say they have been amazing in supporting me thus far!
