You need to report the swelling to your medic - if you've been discharged back to the GP or to the cardiologist if not discharged back.

Please contact her/him/them first thing Monday morning, and let us know how you get on.

Are you on any tablets? Some can cause water retention.

Not even Dr Google knows what ozemporole is.Ramipril can cause swelling in the ankles. If so then consult your GP or Cardiologist on Monday.

Guessing the OP meant omeprazole.

The drug is Omeprazole which is a PPI (proton pump inhibitor) which used to protect your stomach. The most common cause of ankle swelling (oedema) are CCIs (calcium channel inhibitors) but you are not on one. Ring your doctor on Monday - they may wish to try a low dose diuretic like Furosemide. If it worsens significantly or there are signs of weeping ring 111 - they might advise a visit to A&E.

I had a heart attack in 2016 and since then had 5 stents and a quintuple (5) bypass so I’ve experienced a little. If I had swelling I’d see the GP or cardiology team ASAP.

I’d not do anything too strenuous.

If I had to walk in the cold weather I’d wrap up warm and not make myself breathless.

I’d sit with my legs raised up on a stool or recliner.

But don’t worry... I’ve had swollen legs a few times and on one occasion it required a change of medication and I was fine.

You need to tell your doctor but are you getting as much exercise as before or just sitting a lot? I'm disabled and have difficult standing for long or walking and I get swollen ankles.
