Dear All

My husband left ankle has a slight swelling again. The swellings went before. Dr said he can stop wearing ted stockings. Now I saw a slight swelling on his left ankle. This combined with the fluid in his lungs?

Any idea if the ankle thing is normal anyone?

Thank you 😊

Hello :-)

You say he has fluid in his lungs ?

I think I would wear the ted stockings again and talk with his Doctor just to make sure everything is ok :-)

Let us know how he gets on :-) x

Hey BeKind28How are you doing?

Yes I had another post about the fluid in the lungs thing. The dr knows and we are waiting for cardiogram appointment. Thank you for the reply.

Hope you are feeling better 🙂 yes will keep you posted

Hello :-)

I hope it has gone down a little today

My feet and ankles swell but I have no fluid and they do not seem to be concerned

Hopefully that appointment will be soon :-)

Thank you for asking how I am

Not doing so great and searching for support but as always either an answer machine or no constructive answers but at least I am trying I suppose :-) x

Yes at least you are trying 🙂 You tried "Mind"?

in reply to SRDS

I have tried everything which helps me lose my mind even more :-D It is so distressing :-) x

Hello you both

Yup my ankles swell up as well, hopefully those water tablets that hubby is on will kick in soon, But keep an eye on them {ankles}

Now the sun is out get him moving, even around the house/garden as walking is like a pump to the lower legs and can help shift water. Any further change {like quick weight gain} should be quickly reported.

Move Move Move tell him.

Sent with the usual love

Thanks Blue1958 😊 Yes we do walk quite a bit. I will keep an eye on the ankles. Thanks again. Hope you are okay?

in reply to SRDS

Glad to hear about the walking, it really helps {all sorts of things} and yes I’m as fine as can be thank you for asking and as we talk I am travelling the canals trying to keep my old Jack Russell from still thinking he's a puppy and trying to jump in!

Take care both

Hello :-)

Do you ankles swell as well then ?

Mine were ok but these last few weeks by the time it gets later in the day none swell and the top of my foot

No one is concerned though I have shown it the Doctor etc and they say they are not worried as I had a scan and xray on my heart a few weeks ago and everything is fine with my heart

But I do not like it and it is a nuisance with shoes they fit you in a Morning but not in an afternoon :-) x

in reply to

Hello you,

Yeah mine swell up to the shin area { the old thumb test, press it in then see how long it takes to go from white to normal} same as you with the shoe thing so now I wear trainers !

in reply to

Hello :-)

OK the thumb test it is wait for me to panic :-o

It is better for men as you can wear trainers but depending on what we Ladies are wearing trainers just do not go :-D x

Hi there sorry if I’m jumping on here , I don’t get swelling in my legs or ankles at all , I do however get swelling in my wrists hands and lower arms , is that connected to heart failure?

Hello I am not sure. Mention it to your doctor. I would even if it is just for peace of mind.

Let us know what s/he says?

Sorry forgot to ask, is it a graft site? Where you get the swellings?

in reply to SRDS

What’s a graft site ?

SRDS in reply to

Sorry should have explained. I do not even know which procedure you did. So if a person does a bypass operation, then the veins are taken from legs usually and a radial artery from an arm. Then the places from which the vein or artery is taken is called graft site.Which procedure did you do? Stent or bypass?

in reply to SRDS

Oh. I was stented straight away I wasn’t even taken to a ward first , so two stents and a balloon
