Hello Everyone. Firstly, hope you are ALL keeping safe e.g. Covid!! I had two Replacement Valves in September 2020, Mitral and Aortic. On the whole I am not feeling too bad at all but, since the Op, I have been suffering with severe Reflux problems which I didn't have before. Doctor has prescribed me Gaviscon Advance. It doesn't seem to be making any difference so far. Just wondering if anyone else has had this after Surgery. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. Thank You.

Yes I agree it's a flipping nusiance I've had it for 5 years now and that's right gaviscon doesn't help. I just out up with it now so , sorry I can't help any further but just to let you know your not alone 👍
Aww thank you for answering anyway. Looks maybe I may be stuck with it then. Can only hope it will settle down a bit. It's so annoying and irritating though!!
Gaviscon - rubbish! talk to your GP for a 'proton pump inhibitor', think I got that right... HTH
Yes indeed, mine is just rumbling tummy and extra burps. I was prescribed omiprazole. After six months i asked to reduce overall medication and GP suggested i could stop omiprazole.
AVR was early May. The tumbling tummy is now easing.
Hi Everyone. Sorry for long delay in replying but have had trouble with Internet!! Anyway, decided to phone the Doctor yesterday as this Reflux was driving me up the wall!!! He phoned me, that's the process nowadays, and has prescribed me Lansoprazole 30mg. He said if these don't work to call him in 2 Weeks. Have only taken two but it does seem a little bit better 😊😊
