Still in hospital

Hi all just a quick update I’m still in and no sign of coming out any time soon. I’m struggling to hold my sats and my oxygen has been put up to 3 LRs. It’s just dawned on me that I could be in here till I get a new heart

Morning Tori, so sorry your SATS are still not good off the oxygen, upping the flow, hope that helps. Maybe your right and this will put you up the list, I know char from the forum was taken into the Golden Jubilee to just wait for a new heart. Think she said it was just 3 weeks and one became available. Let the medical team take care of you. I send you lots of love and hugs.

Pauline

Hopefully this will happen soon fir you. Wishing you all the best x

I can appreciate how hard it is for you, no visitors you must feel so alone, but remember your not we are here for you, post when you can get plenty of rest.

Oh dear poor you xxxx

You are being very brave and strong about your situation I’m sure I wouldn’t be as strong as you . I know others have said at least you in the best place but somehow when your in hospital you just want to come home so I feel it for you and the covid situation makes it worst as you can’t have family visiting you .

I’m lost for words really my love only just think that hopefully when you leave hospital you will be feeling a lot better. Please keep us updated sending you lots of positive vibes and big hugs 🤗 xSheila x

Oh Tori hang on in there.I know it's no fun being in hospital.

My longest stay was 16 days and I was climbing the walls by the end.

Have they now put you on the transplant lists, and/or have medics said anything to you about keeping you there (or transferring you to Newcastle) until they can do a transplant?

Update when you're up to it - the important thing now is for you to rest up and get some strength back in case they do find you the perfect new heart!

Second most important thing? Knowing your family and friends including all us Hearties are behind you all the way.

Hope you get this real soon & your back living your best life ASAP ♥️

Hi Tory, I really feel for you, being stuck in hospital isn't nice at the best of times, but now it must be dreadful not having your loved ones to visit you. I hope you get some good news before very much longer, I wish I could say something that would help you, but at a loss what to say. I am sending love and hugs to you, try and look towards the future. Take care. Ruth

Thank you. I’m on 3 LRs of oxygen and my sats are 92. That’s in range for butte will drop as soon as try and turn it down xx

Hi Buddy2blue,

Sorry to hear you’re having a tough time.

I know it’s a cliché, but you really are in the right place. Yes it’s lonely & scary sometimes, but so can being home alone feeling really poorly! It’s good that you have experts on hand to deal with any problems straightaway.

I hope they get to the bottom of the problem & get you sorted & home as soon as you’re well enough.

Have they started the assessment process for a transplant yet?

Best wishes,

Hi buddy2blue .Fingers crossed for you to get better soon. If you do need a heart transplant hopefully soon.. your so brave xx

I am so sorry that you’re having such a tough time. I was in hospital for 18 days last year following my HA and it’s not a lot of fun.

I can't believe what I just read and how you are coping. Sending prayers and every ounce of good luck I can find.

Sending love and hugs to you. Is there anything I can do? Wish I could snap my fingers and get you a new heart tomorrow but if I can be of any practical help. I'm not local, miles away, in fact, but could send you any books, jigsaws or other things that might help take your mind off what is going on. For now, it will have to be virtual hugs xx

Hi Tori. Wishing you a better day today. Keep strong. You're truly inspirational xxxx

Sorry to hear that. You are in the right place and ready for when it happens. Take care and I hope you get some news soon.

Hang on in there my thoughts are with you.

Hello, I’ve been following your posts for a little while but this is my first posting to you. I was so touched by your whole experience I just felt I had to send you virtual hugs and say that our thoughts are with you and you are in the right place both to be monitored and also sorted out as soon as a new heart becomes available. You are so brave and such an inspiration and I genuinely wish you all the very best. Take care. Xx

I’m back home now resting and taking it easy. I’m hoping to see my cardiologist in a few weeks when my COVID jab has started to build up some immunity
