Hello :-)

I am not a expert with all this so sorry if I sound silly but what is the drip for ?

Are you scheduled early next week to have your op ?

I hope so as Hospitals are not the best place to be in but I am sure they will be looking after you :-)

Let us know how your op goes and how you are doing :-) x

The drip contains gtn in drip form .They think my artery has gone in to spasm as I’ve had a lot of pain so this is to relax it .

My op is due next week but they will now keep me in hospital until it is done x

Hello :-)

I am sorry you have ended up having to go in earlier but just imagine you will be like a new women soon , keep trying to focus on that and all the wonderful things you have been wanting to do that you will feel well enough to do again :-)

I have a call of the surgeon on the 6th about my op so not sure if that is a sign I am getting closer and also I have been asked to have a dental check up to

I hope you will keep us informed how you are doing because we care and at the same time it will help others knowing someone has been through it and are doing well as I know you will be very soon :-) x

Thanks so much for the support x

It is my pleasure , I know or hope I will be going through what you are and we need all the support we can get so you want to talk either post or any time don't hesitate if you feel you want a chat via pm's :-) x

That’s so kind . I admit to feeling a bit teary tonight . Would have liked the chance to see the family before I had to go in for the op. Only allowed my husband in for an hour each day and no one else 😔Got to give myself a shake and stop feeling sorry for myself 😒

in reply to

You have every right to feel sorry for yourself , don't give yourself a hard time for feeling this way , not only is this a big life event you are going through with the pandemic and everything and visiting been restricted this will get to the best of us Sometimes I find having a good cry , letting it all out helps

An hour seeing your Husband is not a lot but think of all the days , weeks , months and years ahead that this op will give you and your friends and family together :-)

Can you facetime the rest of the family in the meantime , and phone them ?

In a week or so you will be seeing them all again , it will soon go quick it really will :-) x

Well I read this without putting my reading glasses on and was certain it said

"The drip contains gin in drip form ." Shame cos that could have sorted things out properly.

Good luck with your op. Told me last July I would have to stay in until my bypass as it was dangerous to let me home. Change of plan. Put me on 23 tablets and discharged me after 10 days. Had the op after 3 months. You will make a great recovery as you'll be well rested. Lovely to be able to see your hubby. Look forward to coming home and recovering. That when you'll need the help of family and friends. Keep posting x x

Morning Birdy23,

Can sympathise so much with you, I was in hospital for 7 weeks before my surgery AVR and bypass. They then transferred me to the main heart hospital here in Scotland.

While they had me in I think they did every test they could think of😂 husband said I had had the best MOT anybody could have even had cameras put where no cameras should go 😂

I just kept telling myself that they were making me better and I was in the best place, have to be honest lots of tears shed.

I wish you all the best remember you will be soon on the mended heart road.

Best wishes Pauline

You will be fine, I know it’s easy for me to say, I have had mine done already, but the thought is so much worse than the reality, when I was in my local hospital a lady was brought in transferred from the Edinburgh Royal so she was closer to family and she said it was a great hospital. Take care

from all you've written it seems like the best option and place for you to be at the monment, I had a similar situation and was operated on within 2 weeks so not enough time to really think about it. Best wishes and hoping all goes well for you.
