Still in hospital

Hi all I’m day 4 and I’m still in York hospital. Feeling a bit fed up now. I’v seen the Dr and he wants to get me home. The problem is I’m on 24 hour oxygen and it’s around 90-88. When they take it off it drops to 85. Leeds don’t know what to do with me. I’m a bit hacked off, but I don’t want to go home feeling like this. I won’t go into too much detail but I can’t even go to the loo on my own

Thank-you for updating but I wish it could be of happier news for you - you look rather fed up in the selfie you've posted and no wonder!

I am not surprised you are feeling so fed up.

You sound as though you are between a rock and a hard place.

So sorry your still feeling so awful, it’s no wonder you feel fed up, being there is really the best place at the moment until they get your oxygen levels up without you being on oxygen. Let the medical team take care of you, sending you love and hugs.

Thanks for updating buddy2blue. I’m quite certain there are others like myself checking in to see how you are getting on. I’m sorry you’re still not feeling great but think that you are doing the right thing staying put until the medics get some improvement stabilised for you. You poor girl none of this is easy. I wish you well as always... x

What a struggle you are having love. I am sure the medics will get things on track for you but in the meantime it’s very distressing for you. I live in Yorkshire too so send you a cyber hug from the south of the county. Hold tight things will improve.

Hi Tori. You're going through so much but we're all here for you. I'm sure your SATS will improve in the next few days. My sister's readings were 84 for 6 days and then suddenly bumped up to 97!

Thank you for taking the time to update us all. Sending hugs and love.

I know how you feel, after my mitral valve replacement I was expecting to be home in 5 days. Instead 6 days in intensive care due to low blood oxygen. The wonderful team resorted to high pressure oxygen through a very tight fitting mask. Unpleasant but it worked.

I know that it is difficult, but don’t give up suddenly everything will work.
